Hailing from the pits of New York's EDM scene, Chris Taylor (Destryur) mixes dance music with cinematic horror to create a sound that will keep you up at night. Coming up through Sam Valentine's NightWav dance parties, Destryur has set himself apart from his Darksynth peers. Infinitely more danceable but just as menacing. Destryur's unique blend of B-movie stories and illustrations read pure, unapologetically Grindhouse. Each of his releases are a selfcontained world of madness and kitsch. Sleazy city underbellies to hillside horrors. Destryur wears his Troma influences proudly.
His debut album 'Panic' slashed its way into the world in 2019, peaking at number one on Bandcamp's Electronic albums and #19 on the iTunes Russia charts. In 2020, Destryur teamed up with STRNGR to release 'Night at the Grindhouse' on NRW Records, which solidified his foothold in the Darksynth scene. Destryur has also been featured on the documentary soundtracks 'In Search of Darkness' Parts 2 and 3. Destryur has also played alongside some of the best electronic artists, including Perturbator, GosT, Magic Sword, Combichrist, and Brothel.

Destryur (aka, Chris) is a dark electronic artist raised in NYC, newly planted in New Orleans, LA. His horror driven dance music has caught the eye of New Retro Wave where he has released two back-to-back Grindhouse albums with his co-collaborator, STRNGR. In 2022, Destryur released his latest album ‘Tales of Terror’ on Nightwav Records.
